Straw, wood, salt, reeds, clay
ca. 350x350x300cm
The long history of the Margherita di Savoia salt pans involves populations who finally found in the salt pan the work, hope and permanent possibilities of a community that now boasts a century.
Totem /.\ Is an installation made with natural materials found on the site, which evokes this story through the symbol of a model house in which memory, suffering and joy are valued and returned to the people of today.
A “haystack” made of wood, reeds, clay, straw, salt therefore constitutes a living monument dedicated to the community that belongs to it.
